Go Nuts for these Pistachio Pairings during the Big Game!

The big game is approaching, and we all know it’s going to be one of the biggest calorie fests of the year. According to the Calorie Control Council, the average American will eat 2300 calories during the big game!  [1]

Fun Fact: Unlike potato chips, pistachios offer a good source of protein and fiber. Pistachios give you 49 nuts per serving compared to just 15 potato chips per serving (and really…who eats just 15 potato chips?) [2].

So when it comes to nutrition, root for team pistachios! A handful of pistachios makes a delicious snack and pistachios are one of the lowest fat and lowest calorie nuts. Pistachios also offer more per serving than most snack nuts – about 49 nuts per 30 gram serving, compared to 23 almonds, 18 cashews or 14 walnut halves [2].
